Our Family

My name is Dianne and my husband is Rosendo (Ross). We have been married for 33 plus years and are living my dream of owning and sharing, horses and ponies! We raised two wonderful, successful daughters who have really made us proud and they have given us three terrific grandchildren and are sharing our love for horses. They support us in our endeavor to share our herd (family) with others. You could say we are empty-nesters, but are anything but.

In the past I worked myself up the corporate ladder holding key positions in administration, marketing and computer networking earning a nice living too, when I was laid-off as many of us have been lately. For the first time I was struggling to find myself again professionally but not wanting an ungrateful corporate life again.

Turns out my husband, who is retired Navy after 22 years, knew I had a love for horses and his experience was being a jockey at age 15 in Ruidoso NM and who’s roots included Texan born vaqueros rekindled that dream. He is a true Native Texan as his Indian ancestry can be tracked back to even before the Spanish came in and took over Texas but that is another story.

As a child I never owned my own horse. I always road friends horses and took care of them when they couldn’t. When the reality of owning my own came up I was hesitant, but Ross said that it was time for me to live that dream for all the turmoil I went through as a military wife and mother of two. Our plans started out to buy a horse for each of us but that plan soon expanded when we found how much fun it was to share with others and especially the youth in our lives at the time of our first purchase.

We experienced first hand the positive changes one horse can have on someone that may be lost or missing something in their lives in a most profound way. Our horses have changed not only our way of life but others we come in contact with. That was one thing Ross stressed- that it would be life changing, no more going off at a whim, no more free spending, and no more FREE time - and that is ok because now we don’t know what we would do without them. They give us so much love and affection and the motivator of us going into this business.
