Safety & Insurance
Our ponies are healthy, gentle, sweet, trained, clean and at least 5 years old. The ponies live on our small 11 acreage Ranch with horses, goats, guineas, chickens, ducks, cows, dogs, cats and they're an important part of the Ranch family. We give them respect, love, compassion and kindness and they give it back many times over. They all receive regular vet care and are appropriately vaccinated and wormed.
Cute isn't everything -- safety is! We take every precaution possible to ensure safety is not compromised. All handlers are trained and all equipment is checked before leaving the Ranch.
Care is taken at all times to ensure the safety of both the children and the ponies. Staff persons are careful to instruct children on how to proceed near the ponies -- never walk behind them, never offer them food from your hand, etc.
Healthy routines are important - even at parties!
We recommend that you make soap and water available to all at the party after they have finished pony rides and before moving on to other activities. -- This is the recommendation of state and federal health departments and soap and water are recommended over baby wipes and sanitizing hand gels (will be provided at our table), though some health departments do recommend gel sanitizers where hand washing is not available. We also recommend that toys and pacifiers be removed from children before they enter go near the ponies, this ensures that these items stay clean. Children should wear tennis shoes at all times around the ponies, bare feet if not allowed.
